Navigating the Text

If viewing a document using Microsoft
®
Word you can navigate the text using the inbuilt navigation system (the Document Map).

  • Navigate to the
    View
    tab and tick the
    Document Map
    checkbox from within the
    Show/Hide
    group (Figure 1).
  • If the document was created using the inbuilt styles and headings a dynamic navigation menu will appear on the left of the screen (see Figure 2). The Document Map enables the reader to expand and contract sections and jump straight to the relevant section of a longer document.
