The JISC Techdis Staff Training packs provide a ‘pick and go’ suite of staff development materials covering key accessibility and inclusion themes. They are designed to enable anyone to deliver an in-house staff development session, even if they do not consider accessibility and inclusion to be within their area of expertise.
The seven packs cover some of the most common areas of concern or confusion for practitioners, and provide pragmatic advice and resources on the following topics:
- Accessible e-Learning;
- Benevolent Bill: What Microsoft® Does for Accessibility;
- Checking Accessibility of e-Resources;
- Dyslexia and the Use of Assistive Technology;
- e-Assessment;
- Introduction to Assistive Technology in a Learning Environment;
- An Introduction to Web Accessibility.
Each pack is free to download and contains ice-breakers, presentations, information sheets and suggested activities, along with guidance on tailoring the content to the time you have available.
The Staff Packs, together with our range of publications and other web-based resources, are an excellent starting point for a staff development programme on inclusion.
