Working in Partnership

To be most effective as a Service JISC Techdis places considerable emphasis on working in partnership with key organisations, particularly those who influence our key audiences. This rationale follows an earlier decision to create role-based guidance for a number of important job roles within the Higher Education and Further Education and Skills sectors with the aim of mainstreaming accessibility.

It has become clear that in order to provide advice and guidance in context for these key individuals, such as library and learning resources staff; heads of ICT; staff developers; learning technologists or network directors, JISC TechDis needs to work with the relevant associations that these role groups would normally identify as their lead or professional body. By working in this way, we place issues of accessibility and inclusion firmly onto their agenda.

By evolving a partnership model, JISC Techdis has demonstrated its ability to work strategically with partners, to deliver contextualised materials to support the major programmes within both HE and the FE and Skills sectors.

JISC Techdis is now the partner of choice for many organisations seeking to deliver large or small scale programmes which need to include expert guidance or materials to improve the accessibility of teaching and learning; deliver staff development; provide and support assistive technologies; create content; innovate in teaching and learning; demonstrate effective use of productivity tools or support external engagement activities.
