Learners and Students

Jisc TechDis has a history of providing simple easy-to-use resources for staff working in education. Now we have a number of resources to directly support students and learners too.

Technology can play a crucial role in helping people with diverse needs to live, learn and work independently. The TechDis Ambassador programme recognises and celebrates those who embrace technology and use it to achieve their goals.

The TechDis Toolbox (Tbx)

The Toolbox (Tbx) contains bite-size videos, short guides, animations and brief audio files that give useful hints and tips on technologies that can help you work quicker, slicker and smarter.

The TechDis Voices

Throughout England, learners in higher education, further education, skills and lifelong learning now have access to two new high quality synthetic voices for use with text-to-speech tools.

Transition advice for visually impaired learners

Guidance for visually impaired learners moving from school to college or from college to university. It will help you to support yourself using readily available tools and technologies as well as suggesting ways that others can support you.
