
We are pleased to announce that the British Assistive Technology Association (BATA) has invited Sal Cooke, Director of JISC TechDis, to join its Council.
The new Council was announced at the BATA AGM on 12 January 2012. Sal Cooke says, ‘I am utterly honoured and am looking forward to working with the Council and its member organisations to help more people with diverse needs access education.’
BATA exists to promote the interests of users of Assistive Technology and the companies, organisation and professionals who serve them. Its formal aims are:
As Director of JISC TechDis, Sal will make a valuable contribution to the Council by helping UK industry and suppliers to better understand, and thereby meet, the needs of today’s learners.
